Transfusion Service needs more blood donations
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service needs four thousand people to donate blood every week between now and Christmas.

With hospital demand increasing significantly over the last two months, sixteen thousand donations are required to ensure that stocks are maintained.

According to the IBTS holiday times are traditionally difficult as donations are generally lower.

As usual the IBTS are calling for more blood donations. If you are in a poisition to dontate blood please do. I myself may need a blood transfusion soon (hopefully not). But of course the IBTS changed their position on Gay Men giving blood, I myself would be the first in line to give blood.

What I dont get if France, Russia, Portugal can all drop the bans why can’t we!
