Carrickfergus

I have a friend who is big into singing and that and I never heard him sing. Last night he sent me a link  to one of his songs he just put on youtube and its one of my favourite songs by Phil Coulter. The song is Carrickfergus and all I can say is Ethan you do it justice! He has a career ahead of him! (Yes I did promise to blog about it, but it deserves to be!)

McKenna explains why I wont Vote Green

Image via Wikipedia Cedar Lounge Revolution have the Hot Press interview with Patricia McKenna, and it makes really interesting reading. A few of her answers sum up why I won’t vote Green ever again. I don’t want to put words into your mouth, but you are effectively saying that the Greens in the Dail are nothing but hypocrites? Definitely. They are political opportunists. Image via Wikipedia While reading blogs and surfing links I came across EPvote.eu. I may have linked in before. I think its a bit cumbersome but it will do until VoteWatch.eu launches next week.  I found out about that from Jan’s EUblog. While flitting around it, I came across some stats. And one very interesting one. The Dutch MEP Paul van Buitenen has a voting record that consists of abstaining on 98% of votes! Yes you read that right!...

“By George we got Lee”

So George Lee the now former Economics Editor of RTÉ will be standing for Fine Gael in the Dublin South By Election. Personally I am delighted that George is running for us in Dublin. Hes name was mentioned to me on a number of occasions but I was told he turned us down. How wrong those people were! George Lee is a man with his finger on the pulse of the Irish Economy. He warned us for years, and...
