It’s not surprising that this is happening. While small parties come and go in this country one of the backers of this party, is one that will get it noticed. Now I would like to stress this is from a very reliable source who has delivered...

Image via Wikipedia Heres another round up of issues making the rounds in the eurobloggerosphere at the moment, with thanks to BloggingPortal.eu Swedish Presidency The Swedish Presidency of the European Council is coming an end, and Spain gets ready to share the reins. The Swedish Europe Minister (and Commissioner...

Should Politicians Use Twitter?

Image by VitiligoCover via Flickr Two recent events should be highlighted to any politician thinking of using twitter to further their electoral prospects. These two stories do serve as maybe a warning, before the commit. Case 1: Dale v McCarthy. This case surrounds allegations made by the Hon. Kerry McCarthy, MP for  Bristol East, about the political magazine Total Politics, which is run by tory supporting blogger Iain Dale. I shall leave it to each of them to tell their story. Iain...

The new EU organic logo will be displayed from July 2010 onwards on pre-packaged organic products that meet the community requirements outlined under “Organic Farming and Production”. The EU logo can be used on a voluntary basis on non-pre-packaged organic products that originate from the EU or that are imported...

“no such institution as a ‘de facto’ family in Ireland”

The above is a ruling from Justice Susan Denham of the Supreme Court on the right of access to a child of a lesbian couple. This was overruling Justice Hedigan, of the High Court, who held that ‘de facto’ families existed under the European Convention on Human Rights. This is an interesting ruling from the Supreme Court and takes a bit of an argument away from Gay Marriage Campaigners. The High Court judgement was being used an arguement in...
