I wrote this on Diarmy’s post regarding Irish entries: “It’s very simple. Stop sending gimmicks to Eurovision. Send a pop song. A song you would hear on the radio, and say “you know what Mary, I think I’m going to go out and buy that single today.” We harp on about “oh it’s not a song contest anymore”.
