I think you hit the nail on head there Kevin. The important bit is to separate the person from the label.

Im not in favour of Gay Marriage, which has led me to having many arguments, but the family/children side of it I am very much in favour of.

I have worked as an Au Pair and I have been a scout leader. I want to have children at some point because I know I can be a good father. I hope I will be given that chance.

Thank you for your comment btw!

Its a good piece Stephen. My first thought was how sometimes my own (probably ill informed) opinions about gay marriage/ children can be a little bigoted. Especially when I fail to think of the people involved as just that, people and not the 'gay' label.

I had a conversation with a friend a while back about gay families. Neither of us were sure if we were in favor or against. But one thing was clear. It was the change it would make in society that gave the greatest concern.(if that makes sense) Fear of the unknown maybe?
